I'm Lyle and my roots are originally from Western Nebraska. I completed my undergraduate degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Shortly after I moved to Southern California where I expanded my professional interests in Urban Design and Transportation Planning.
In May of 2019 I graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning. My thesis focused on an analysis of projecting rail ridership in Los Angeles.
This research is what primarily sparked my interest in a global database of passenger rail.

One way to get to know me is through my life experiences. Below is a visual history of various chapters of my life through theoretical metro maps.
My one stoplight hometown of Kimball, Nebraska boasts a population of roughly 2,500 people (2010). Kimball is the highest point in elevation for the State of Nebraska, and is situated along Interstate 80 and Highway 71. Aside from the Dial-A-Ride services, no public transit system exists, as the town is walkable from nearly any location. Creating this map was a great way to reflect on my youth in this community.
